My name is Deidre Lane, I own Optima HR. Optima HR is a fractional HR company, we offer services to small and medium companies. Many people can’t carry a full time HR professional as it is quite a heavy overhead. What I want to do is go into those businesses and offer our services whether it be day-to-day operations or maybe it’s just that side project that’s never been able to get done so that’s what I would consider a fractional HR offering that we want to help businesses with. The second pillar to Optima HR would be the people strategies portion; this is where we really get to go into business and get to know their people. Retention is becoming so important in our market and the ability to keep employees within our walls is crucial. We spend so much time at work away from our families so it’s really important that we can create a strategy with the sustainable aspect that every employee can enjoy. The third part of Optima HR is employee coaching and what I’ve always found being in any business is that employees don’t really have anyone to talk to about their career. I just want to create a safe space where employees can have that coaching and plan for their future. We create custom packages we work with businesses. We don’t have an off the shelf offering, I want to make sure that we’re giving businesses what they want and we hope to just allow incremental changes and improvements to their company and their business which hopefully feeds their employees. I do think that once we start working with employers they will get excited about the joy it brings to their employees.
